Homework and Study Tips

Homework first!

No social media, no texting, no TV. Make a quick snack and enjoy it over some math problems. I find it so rewarding to get everything done first and having an hour or two to relax and not stress about school. It also helps me get to bed much earlier!

Start small

I always do my shortest assignments first, it feels like I'm getting more done. I also love being able to cross things off when they're completed, it takes a little weight off my shoulders each time!

Study in increments

I always study for tests in 15-20 minute blocks. I get bored studying one subject for hours. You can get an hour of studying in by breaking it up over three 20 minute sessions!

Don't procrastinate

We've all been told this millions of times but it really is the most important. Whether it be studying for a test, completing a project, or a lengthy homework assignment; don't put it off! Start studying for a test as soon as your told about it. Set aside 15 minutes to work on a project or assignment. You'll feel much more prepared for a test and not to mention you won't have the stress of doing everything in one night!

Bedroom Makeover

I'm the type of person that enjoys change in any way shape or form which is why I've redecorated my room countless times throughout the years. I've done everything from a jungle theme to a neon rainbow room to a completely neutral color scheme. I neutralized my room a year or two ago and added pops of color with fun decor which has been perfect for me as I am so indecisive. I previously had royal blue accents and just changed things up to pinks and golds and I am so happy with the way it turned out!
How cute is this monogrammed pillow?

I was feeling crafty and made this tassel garland, it was so simple and it can add so much color to any space!

Door County Getaway

Packed up for a great time with my mom and Grandma and headed to Door County for a few days!  The three of us went last year too, hopefully this is the start of a new tradition. Being able to escape from work and other obligations every once in awhile is a great stress reliever.
Here's our motel we stayed at in Ephraim. I love the color combination of the door and building.
Stopped to take some pictures of this cool truck!

Visited the Cana Island Lighthouse in Baileys Harbor and walked along the beach there.
Best place for a burger and ice cream in Ephraim since 1906!
Delicious mocha from the Blue Horse Cafe in Fish Creek.
Look at this view in Egg Harbor!
Love spending time with my family in such beautiful places, hope to go back soon!

Lilly Agenda

My mom and I have a slight obsession with agendas, stationary, note pads, and other cute paper products and I have to admit the agendas by Lilly Pulitzer are by far my favorite. No other agenda or planner could ever compare. I have just received my new planner for the third year in a row and once again Lilly has truly out done herself.

I always look forward to the adorable stickers, they're almost too cute to use!

My main concern in a planner is the amount of room given under each day considering I use mine primarily to keep track of school assignments. These planners have ample space which I need for school and my large handwriting. (I always buy the large sized agenda that you can find here.)
